About
This project began from a trip to Torquay in April 2023. We spent a week there and were surprised at how many cafes there were - wondering how they all survived in this surf coast town. Each morning we would go to a different cafe and I would order an egg and bacon roll. I' give a summary of the roll to my partner (she was interested, I promise) and she told me I should write that down. I'm not sure if thats just becasue by roll number 5 she was a little tired of the reviews, or if she genuinely wanted me to write these things down for others, but either way, here we are - although, I did NOT right anything down so I need ot go back and do a proper review of each cafe (damn, have to go to Torquay for a week!). What I can tell you is that you won't be disappointed eating breakfast in most of the cafes in Torquay - where they survive by ensuring their standards are high! Our inspiration for this site was
Mission
Egg-squisite Rolls & Bacon Goals! My plan is to travel to as many destinations as possible, eat at as many establishments as possible, and share my experience with the rest of the world. This is now mu mission. Hoping to include international destinations over time as well but for now it will mostly be Australian cafes.
Vision
How to take a humble egg, add bacon (and perhaps some other condiments) to a roll, and create perfection. My vision is to have all of you as hooked on the humbe egg and bacon roll as I am, one roll at a time :)
